Watch Me Grow

Dancing After Dark

After my bath, Brother decided to watch The Backyardigans with me.

Waiting "patiently" for it to start.

I've got Pablo...we're ready to go, Come On!!!

After the opening song, I'm ready to walk around. Maybe Mommy hid some movie popcorn in here.

This is my favorite part. They start to sing in the backyard!

(Singing along) with the Backyardigans...

Practicing my gymastic skills for Red Dog. "Prepare to be amazed, Red Dog!"

There's nothing hotter than trucks on your tushie!

Let's jump on Daddy.

Now they are going to go have a snack and sing some more! Does everyone know The Backyardigans is going to be the theme for my 2 year old birthday party??!!!

Raise your hand if you like Pablo!

He's my absolute FAVORITE!!! Mommy says we dance a lot alike.

I think I dance quite nicely, thank you!

Ok, now let's watch Wonder Pets. This is my favorite of them, it has a tiger on it!

Getting into position...

YES...I'm still teething folks.

And, do I have any more teeth??? NO!!!

Daddy loves watching Wonder Pets with me. He's easily distracted.

Totally...Fascinated...

Preparing for dance...

Are you ready? Break it down!!!

Shake your bootie!

I know how to ROCK OUT!

More dancing to tv tunes...

video

Let's take a break.

My customary "finger up the nose" shot. You can't be a boy if you can't do this.

Gotta throw in my TIGER growl!!!

video

What pretty lips I have!

I LOVE Spongebob!!!!

I can sing right along with the music!!!! Watch me.

In my Spongebob Trance.

Whatd'ya mean it's almost time for bed!??!

What if I lay here on Daddy? Does that count as getting ready for bed?

Mommy convinced me it was bedtime.

But I don't have to be happy about it!!!!

Don't worry Granny, Mommy came back in and rocked me and I calmed right down.

Toddler Television

Sorry fans for not posting sooner. It's been a sad week for our church family.

Last week I continued my fascination with The Backyardigans on tv.

This is the usual look I have when watching it.

Gotta love this face!

Today Mommy went for a walk with us. Red Car got to go with us too!

We drove to the walking spot since Mommy went with us. She's not so good at climbing hills and the walk back up to our subdivision would've totally done her in!

And...off we go!

Ya always gotta be prepared for oncoming traffic!

"Where we goin' Daddy?"

"Let's head over there!"

Why is everyone honking at us? Daddy says he knows half of Boone County now that we walk twice a day.

It's starting to drizzle rain. Apparently we don't know enough to come in out of the rain.

Time for a flashback. Here I am today.

And here I am in this same spot last summer. I miss that neon green stroller.

"Stop crying Mommy...I'm still your little baby."

"Hey Daddy, Mommy's a mess. Do something."

My newest obsession....looking up at street signs. Stop signs are my favorite.

Coming down the home stretch. This is the bridge we had our picture taken recently, remember.

Mommy threatens to throw me down in this creek to swim with the fishes if I don't behave.

After we got home, I relaxed while watching my newest tv show - Yo Gabba Gabba!

Its like meth...for Toddlers. I'm fascinated with it.

Mim got me a Tootie doll that sings to me. I played with it the whole time the show was on.

Tootie makes a nice pillow.

Teething stinks! STILL no more teeth than my original 8.

"It's either chew my fingers or my toes. You pick, woman!"

After going poopies, it was time for a bath.

I've almost figured out how to stick my feet into the bucket.

"Hey! I almost got it."

Official bathtime shot.

Big Head Baby Luke in a Bathtub.

I always read "Mimi's Toes" during bathing. It helps me relax. I can't be ANYWHERE without a book in arm's reach.

Teething on my Noah's Ark boat.

Action shot.

Making sure all the animals are intact.

A happy, clean baby!

What??? I promise I'll stay clean...

"Ok...you guys know me way too well..."

I like a lot of action when I bathe, so what!

It was time to get out of the tub but Daddy was "busy" so I had to wait a few minutes...

I absolutely HATE getting dressed - especially diapers.

Like I said earlier, I have to have reading material EVERYWHERE and that includes the changing table.

I'm back to doing my "tiger sound" - watch the video!

video

Mommy came downstairs and found her boys like this watching The Backyardigans again.

We are soooo cool.

Doing flips with Brother.

I LOVE 'em - More! More!

Yo Gabba Gabba and The Backyardigans - pure Toddler Heaven!

Think Mommy will watch it AGAIN??? We've only watched this episode 3 times today.

Since its bedtime, Daddy read me a book. This is one of the rare non-flip-flap books that I own and actually love.

Mommy turned my movie off. I was NOT happy. (Robin Denise)

Time for bed. I promise to blog sooner! Hugs and Kisses to all my fans.

A Saunders-O-Rama Fourth!

Lucky me! When we arrived, Granny and Pappaw were there also! I conned her into swinging with me very first thing.

Then my cousin joined me.

She and brother laughed and laughed. I thought they were crazy.

But then I joined right in.

It was Mammaw Saunders' 80th birthday so we got to have cake.

She totally doesn't look 80!!!!

And you guys know how much I love cake!!! Think I could talk Granny into feeding me some?

She's too easy!

I have to DO IT!

Now what're we gonna do?

Who is going to pick me up and entertain me?

Yippeee - Pappaw came to save the day with a nice cool drink.

Then he took me for a quick stroll up and down the driveway (many times...)

"Are you tired of me yet, Pappaw?"

Then it was Granny's turn.

I'm a cool dude! Did you guys check out my T is for Tiger shirt from our zoo trip?

And Mim got me some new sandals with a reinforced toe on them since I tend to be rough on my shoes lately.

Official photo of the day (brother was playing ball...or eating cake...)

Mim and Aunt K tried to tell me that it was time for a nap.

But I conned my way out of that and got to stay outside and hang out with them.

Then Mim played "swing" with me.

And Daddy's job was to catch me.

Brother stopped eating cake long enough for Mommy to take a picture by the flowers.

But I smelled cake on him and wanted some - STAT.

Where's Granny???!!! She'll give me cake.

I ran to Pappaw and looked pitiful so Mim fed me some of the icing. Its my favorite icing in the world.

Mammaw and Pappaw Saunders lookin' cool!

Just clapping hands.

Mim thought I might pass out and nap in my swing.

But everyone was talking. I even put my fingers in my ears to block them out!!!

My newest cousin was there. He's only 2 months old. I didn't know what to think about him.

Maybe he'd like it if I did "swing" with him. It always works with me!

Me and my Mommy.

Trying to steal Mommy's glasses!

Ah-Ha! Got em! (Mommy says to ignore her 3 double chins here)

Putting the glasses back on Mommy. Just so I can get them back again. I'm such a trickster.

I'm a sly dog!

One more time...

Big Head on the Fourth of July!

"Who you callin' Big Head???"

I had such a good time. I was very well behaved for only having one nap.

Daddy tried to keep me up long enough to watch fireworks but I went to bed at 8:15 without a fuss. Maybe next year...I need my beauty sleep!!!

Its How I Roll

Since Daddy's been sick, Mammaw and Granny are back on duty. Today was Mammaw's shift and she took me outside to see some birds...and play with the mailbox (my newest obsession).

Then it was time for an after dinner stroll around "The Hills."

"Lock and load, Cowboy!"

"Yes, Daddy....I'm gonna drag my foot the whole time. Deal with it! Its the new Luke!"

It's Hip to be Square!

Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful.

"How YOU doin???"

Making a U-Turn. Mommy does it all the time. Shhhh.

Yes....I'm getting a haircut tomorrow. My hair grows so fast that Mommy should've named me Samson.

Raise your hand if you're gettin' a spankin! (Mommy has trained me with this newest trick!)

Just relaxing, enjoying the day. It's nice to still be small enough to have someone pushing you.

Just takin' it easy.

Practicing my rock-hurling skills with Daddy.

Gimmie a few more tries and I'll be able to knock a window out!

Car! Pull over Daddy. Those are the rules.

Big Head Baby Luke in the sunshine!

I like to look for upcoming traffic. Gotta be prepared!

Go Speed Racer...GO!

No Mr. Officer - I promise, I wasn't speeding.

Who could give this face a ticket!

Y'all know I have to do my usual car routine. Gotta make sure the tires are rotated.

Not so good at going backwards.

Just like Mommy...we only like to go Forward.

Let's Roll!

Clap your hands if you're a big boy.

That's Me! Big Boy.

Practicing more rock throwing skills.

Playing in the dirt like at the kick ball field.

Counting my dirt-covered hands!

I am TOTAL Boy! Through and through.

We came across this cool spot on the other side of our subdivision. It's like a mystery cavern.

"Let me go Daddy - I won't jump in or hurl my body down in the hole, I promise!"

Dropping rocks to hear the splat! Great fun.

I threw it right THERE!

Counting rocks with Daddy.

Two wild and crazy guys!

Racing Daddy back to my vehicle.

Daddy's in the lead.

But I managed to pull ahead and win the race. VICTORY!

Let's race DOWN this driveway.

On your mark...

Get set...

GO!!!! (see my hair flying in the wind!)

If you stand up you get a faster speed going! I'm sure Granny is freaking out reading this about now....

Don't worry Granny - I was on flat ground. You know what a rebel I am.

Time to get back inside for a bath. I'm a filth monster!

...my shoes after dragging them behind me the whole journey...

After my bath it was time for some recreation.

Doing gymnastics off of the couch arm.

I promise I wont go rolling off and break my neck.

Back to throwing basketballs off the couch. I can neither confirm nor deny that I nearly fell off the couch trying to follow the ball.

I've totally destroyed the family room. My job here is done.

Practicing "not" talking with my talking book.

And I'm a child prodigy on the piano. I can belt out Twinkle Twinkle just like it sounds in real life! I can't say but 3 words, but baby I can play music!

It can't be time for bed, woman! I'm still reading!

Gotta love the flip-flap books.

It 'aint' a book unless its got flaps. I gotta have action when I read.

Raise your hand if you love Luke!

I knew you guys LOVED me!

"What do you mean this is a No Touch?" I was hoping Mommy had forgotten which items are No-Touch.

Gotta love teething...

Some cute toe shots.

The only visible sign that I am in fact Daddy's baby...we have the same Fred Flintstone feet.

Remember Mr. Tiger that Mammaw brought me back from Florida? I can totally make the same "Rawr" sound he makes. Daddy says this looks like Mommy first thing in the morning before she's had her caffeine.

Time for Nubbie and go Nite-Nites. And, yes my pants are too long. They are size 18 months...I am 18 months. But alas....

Sneakin' up the staircase.

One last peek-a-boo...

...and a quick tour around the upstairs with Red Dog...

You gotta say goodnight to Mr. Tie. It's the rules.

And read your bedtime stories...

Let's get ready for a sparkly Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth!
