Watch Me Grow

Yes, I'm a Penguin

So tonight was the Annual Youth Halloween Party at church. Brother was a pirate, and I was Pablo the Penguin from The Backyardigans on Nick Jr! He's growling like a pirate - ARRRGGH!

Remember last year...

I didn't need a pacifier this year either!

Full view of my fabulous costume!

"Ok, seriously, let's go!"

I've at least gotten Mommy in the car folks. She said not to tell the cops that she is turning around backwards, focusing the camera, taking a picture...all while driving. She's an excellent driver, right??!! (Apparently, I don't think so, since I'm giving a "thumbs-down" gesture!)

When we arrived at church I stopped to smell the flowers, my usual routine.

Wonder if there's a train out here anywhere? What about cats? Cats like Penguins, right?!

Ok, I'm in the mood now, let's go party!

Lacey came dressed as a pink ladybug. We checked out the candy-filled pumpkins!

(There's always time for a Little Robin Breakdown at any occassion)

Here I am last year enjoying the party cupcakes!

Here I am this year. Mommy got icing all over me - it was all her fault. It wasn't because I was squirmy or trying to squish the cupcake in my hand or anything! (Mommy got her hair cut - two thumbs up!)

Here I am with the other parent last year...

...and, with Lacey...

Here we are this year. Cutest Couple 2009!

She's telling her Mommy how impressed she is that I can shove a whole fun-sized milky way bar in my mouth. It's a Saunders Skill.

Here she is trying to feed me something healthy like a jellie life saver. Gotta give her props for trying, huh!

Miss Linnea had a game for us kids to play. Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin! Lacey and I got to go first since we're the smallest. I wanted to put mine near hers.

Did I win? Was I close???

I stole Miss Sue's iced tea and kept reaching for more cupcakes so Mommy said it was time for a break. We headed up to the nursery to cool off.

"It's a cryin' shame I don't look like my Mommy, huh?!"

During my language classes every week, my teacher has puzzles for me to play with. I found one in the Nursery! Next to blocks and books, puzzles are my favorite!

Telling Mommy how to do it.

Pablo the Penguin wanted to slide.

You gotta give the Penguin what he wants, Mommy!

Another favorite of mine...sunglasses!

How cool am I??!!! A blue penguin with hot pink sunglasses. Chicks dig me!

Comin' at ya! Live from Halloween 2009!!!

Ok nerds! Stay tuned. Official trick or treat is tomorrow night and you don't wanna miss it!

Luke, I think you were the best looking Pablo I have ever seen! Thanks for coming to the party. I think you and Lacey did a great job at the pumpkin game.
