Watch Me Grow

Its How I Roll

Since Daddy's been sick, Mammaw and Granny are back on duty. Today was Mammaw's shift and she took me outside to see some birds...and play with the mailbox (my newest obsession).

Then it was time for an after dinner stroll around "The Hills."

"Lock and load, Cowboy!"

"Yes, Daddy....I'm gonna drag my foot the whole time. Deal with it! Its the new Luke!"

It's Hip to be Square!

Don't hate me cause I'm beautiful.

"How YOU doin???"

Making a U-Turn. Mommy does it all the time. Shhhh.

Yes....I'm getting a haircut tomorrow. My hair grows so fast that Mommy should've named me Samson.

Raise your hand if you're gettin' a spankin! (Mommy has trained me with this newest trick!)

Just relaxing, enjoying the day. It's nice to still be small enough to have someone pushing you.

Just takin' it easy.

Practicing my rock-hurling skills with Daddy.

Gimmie a few more tries and I'll be able to knock a window out!

Car! Pull over Daddy. Those are the rules.

Big Head Baby Luke in the sunshine!

I like to look for upcoming traffic. Gotta be prepared!

Go Speed Racer...GO!

No Mr. Officer - I promise, I wasn't speeding.

Who could give this face a ticket!

Y'all know I have to do my usual car routine. Gotta make sure the tires are rotated.

Not so good at going backwards.

Just like Mommy...we only like to go Forward.

Let's Roll!

Clap your hands if you're a big boy.

That's Me! Big Boy.

Practicing more rock throwing skills.

Playing in the dirt like at the kick ball field.

Counting my dirt-covered hands!

I am TOTAL Boy! Through and through.

We came across this cool spot on the other side of our subdivision. It's like a mystery cavern.

"Let me go Daddy - I won't jump in or hurl my body down in the hole, I promise!"

Dropping rocks to hear the splat! Great fun.

I threw it right THERE!

Counting rocks with Daddy.

Two wild and crazy guys!

Racing Daddy back to my vehicle.

Daddy's in the lead.

But I managed to pull ahead and win the race. VICTORY!

Let's race DOWN this driveway.

On your mark...

Get set...

GO!!!! (see my hair flying in the wind!)

If you stand up you get a faster speed going! I'm sure Granny is freaking out reading this about now....

Don't worry Granny - I was on flat ground. You know what a rebel I am.

Time to get back inside for a bath. I'm a filth monster!

...my shoes after dragging them behind me the whole journey...

After my bath it was time for some recreation.

Doing gymnastics off of the couch arm.

I promise I wont go rolling off and break my neck.

Back to throwing basketballs off the couch. I can neither confirm nor deny that I nearly fell off the couch trying to follow the ball.

I've totally destroyed the family room. My job here is done.

Practicing "not" talking with my talking book.

And I'm a child prodigy on the piano. I can belt out Twinkle Twinkle just like it sounds in real life! I can't say but 3 words, but baby I can play music!

It can't be time for bed, woman! I'm still reading!

Gotta love the flip-flap books.

It 'aint' a book unless its got flaps. I gotta have action when I read.

Raise your hand if you love Luke!

I knew you guys LOVED me!

"What do you mean this is a No Touch?" I was hoping Mommy had forgotten which items are No-Touch.

Gotta love teething...

Some cute toe shots.

The only visible sign that I am in fact Daddy's baby...we have the same Fred Flintstone feet.

Remember Mr. Tiger that Mammaw brought me back from Florida? I can totally make the same "Rawr" sound he makes. Daddy says this looks like Mommy first thing in the morning before she's had her caffeine.

Time for Nubbie and go Nite-Nites. And, yes my pants are too long. They are size 18 months...I am 18 months. But alas....

Sneakin' up the staircase.

One last peek-a-boo...

...and a quick tour around the upstairs with Red Dog...

You gotta say goodnight to Mr. Tie. It's the rules.

And read your bedtime stories...

Let's get ready for a sparkly Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth!

Luke-my-man,
You sure know how to pack a day full of fun! Be careful out and about in your car; we don't want a crack-up like your Aunt K's with $8K plus worth of damage! You're outgrowing your current wheels; it's about time for an upgrade. Stay cool, little man, your Mim
