Watch Me Grow

Vacation Bible School 2009

Last year at Bible School, I was only 6 months old - can you guys believe it? So, this is the first VBS that I really got to participate in.

I won't get Perfect Attendance due to a nasty throat infection and high fever but thanks to Granny for catching it in time, I was able to get medical treatment fast and now I'm back on my game!

All you have to do is yell "Blue Spot" and I go right to it.

Showing Daddy and Lacey how to do it.

Look at me - Big Boy climbing steps!

Back to Blue Spot...

Playing Ring-A-Round-Our-Jeep with Lacey.

"Ok, when you hear BLUE SPOT you gotta run to it!"

I beat her to it - she's a slow poke!

Mommy made me sit down long enough to take a picture in front of the church flowerbed. I sat down for 3 seconds - DONE!

Let's climb some steps!

"C'mon Lacey, I promise, you won't get into trouble!"

Blowing kisses to My Love.

Blowing kisses back to me - it still counts even tho she's turned around.

In a surprising move, I didn't keep my nametag on very long. It makes a nice "Daddy's tie" to twirl around.

"Hey Luke, here's a kiss!"

"Back at ya babe!"

I talked her into joining me on the stairs. She's not as much of a climber as I am.

Lacey kept disobeying her mommy and got her behind swatted. I can relate.

Just call me Stair Master!

"Where you think you're goin' little missie???!!!"

Showing my belly button to the parking lot.

Heading for trouble. I can't help chicks follow me!

"Don't worry Brandi, I've got her under control!"

"Ok, LOOK woman! You know the rules!"

Lacey's saying..."I'm sitting down MOTHER - stop nagging me, OK???!!!"

We're practicing this look for when our parents tell us we can't get married until we're 40!

"Don't worry honey, I've got it all under control."

I'm a great catch, right???!!

I think she's wanting to do an old fashioned Baptist foot-washing!

I clapped.

Then Lacey showed me how she claps.

"He's silly, Mommy!"

Another one for our Engagement Photo Book...

After "Bible Lesson" time (which the mommies just took us outside to learn about God's nature to get me to stop crying) we had Activity time with a ball. Babies and Ball go together.

She's gonna be a ball player like all her big sisters! I think she can take me down.

Maybe I can charm her into letting me win.

"Ok, this is how you do it!"

Just make sure not to fall face-first and bust your lip and break a tooth.

Can you tell I'm trying to say "Ball" here - I'm working on my "Buh" sound.

After Activity Time we went for Snacks - always a hit with the toddler crowd.

"What do we want? SNACKS! When do we want 'em? NOW!"

Tonight's snack was a sugar cookie with ice cream in the middle - kinda like an oreo. Mommy chopped it up and made it a bunch of finger food.

This is the life. Ice cream, sugar cookies, and grape juice!

Mammaw picked me up and fed me a banana - I bit off almost the whole thing!!!

Talking about how good the juice is in this joint!

After snacks, we joined the Pre-K class for singing! Of course I wanted to dance instead.

Watch the video of me groovin' to the music!

video

"What are we gonna sing next, Miss Becky?"

I met Daddy upstairs to walk around the "Studio Go!" stage.

Let's see how fast I can destroy this thing.

"When I hold up this sign, all you kids CLAP!"

I'm the On-Air talent.

Doing a headstand on the On Air sign.

I heard a choo-choo train outside so I ran outside to wave at it.

"Go THIS way!"

In my Train Trance.

"Well, lookie there - its on the move."

"Do you think we could talk them into letting us toddlers ride the train around the track at the Coal Festival?"

I think that would be a GREAT idea.

Don't you agree???

I ran back inside the church to say bye to Daddy.

Running through the streamers at the Sanctuary door.

In another surprising move, a few streamers "accidentally" got pulled down.

Don't know how it could've happened.

After a quick bath and a little bit of Wonder Pets tv, it was off to bed. Everyone was sure glad I was in a MUCH better mood now that I'm not sick. Sweet Dreams everybody - from Me and Cubbie to You!

Luke-my-man,
You know what they say about preachers' kids and teachers' kids. It's nice to see you raining down havoc on the VBS decorations. That will help you secure your reputation early. Good work. Be nice to Lacey now if you expect her to be your prom date in the future. Love you always, monkey-boy, your Mim
