Like I mentioned earlier, we went to Columbus over the weekend. We didn't leave until after 7:00 p.m. since Daddy was sick and we made a pit stop at Health Plus to get him checked out. "C'mon Daddy...you're fine, get in the car! We got stuff to do!"
I'm gonna pull my hair out if we don't get going soon. I have a limited time of niceness and your time's just about up!
Brother entertained me with a Backyardigan movie. The portable DVD player is the greatest invention EVER.
My first time leaving WV. Too bad Mommy wasn't on her game, she JUST MISSED the Ohio sign. Slacker. What kinda blogger IS SHE???
The car ride went from Bad to Worse. We didn't arrive in Columbus until after 11 pm. My bedtime is 8 pm. You do the math. But...the next morning made up for it. We were off to the Zoo! I was still a little "in shock" from the long journey last night.
We're almost there!!!
Mommy packed an Entertainment Box for the car ride and my Dog made the trip with us.
You guys know I only like the Music button. Forget about the ABC's...I wanna hear Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - STAT!
We made it - my first animal super duper exhibit EVER!
We have a LOT of ground to cover!
Of course we had to bring my red car. You guys didn't think I'd just sit quietly in my neon green stroller, did you??!! That's for babies.
As soon as we walked in the door there was a live snake petting exhibit. Mim and Brother were brave enough to pet it. Mommy did too. But they didn't let ME. I don't know why??? It's not like I'd grab the snake and sling it around or nuthin - COME ON!
The most popular exhibit was the new baby elephant that was just born. Mim had to take me out of my car so I could see.
See the baby and the mommy? The sign says that the mommy elephant was pregnant for 18 months. That's as old as I am now! Mommy says she's sure glad she's not an elephant or I'd be in trouble!!!
Daddy brought me in for a closer view.
"I see it...I see it!"
On the way back through we found an elephant to sit on.
This is how we spent 90% of the walk through the zoo...me PUSHING my car.
On our way to see some giant cats!
"Hurry Daddy - its over THIS way!"
This was my absolute FAVORITE exhibit. This tiger came right up to the glass.
Watch me squeal out loud with excitement as he walks by me! I can't believe I'm actually seeing a real Tiger like in my Rainforest books!
This is the best day EVER.
We saw a few Egrets.
And a pack of flamingos.
This is a mommy and a baby asleep. The mommy must have told the baby it was time for a Nuby and go Nite-Nites. That's how it works in our house.
This one is standing on one leg - see her???!!
Blowing kisses to the sleeping baby flamingo.
Dragging Mim to the Turtle Exhibit.
Hey...this matches my nursery theme. Psycho Mommy had to take a picture.
Trying to grab the turtle's leg.
Starting to melt down.
To cool off, we went to see the penguins.
Mim is telling me if I don't straighten up, Mommy is gonna put me in the igloo and have me be a permanent part of the penguin exhibit.
"Come on in Luke...you'll fit right in."
After a long warm day and a thousand more animals, we called it a day and went back for a nap.
Stay tuned for more adventures in Columbus. I got to ride Dumbo, sit on a camel, and see-saw on a banana! See ya soon!

My-man-Luke,
Columbus was great fun! Hearing you squeal at the tiger, I thought a monkey was loose in the cat house! You're a maniac! Poppy and I had a blast with you and Brother! The shoe dragging outside of your car now counts as your trademark move. The new Old Navy flip-flops I sent to you have reinforced toes--let's see you drag those out! Ooohh, the gauntlet has been thrown!! It's on like Donkey Kong! Thanks for going with us! I'll see you Friday night, chick-a-dee. Like Mad, Mim

Luke-Bo-Duke,
P.S. Tell Mommy and Daddy that you REALLY want a lovely little kitty. His name is Topper. He promises not to potty or shed in the house. Poor Mim is turning into the crazy cat lady!
