Watch Me Grow

Adventures in Columbus - Part II

To pick up where I last left off...after a thousand animals and a quick nap, we returned back to the zoo amusement park section called "Jungle Jack's Landing."

A flock of geese (or something like that) came up to greet us. It was all I could do to NOT jump out of my car and chase them.

One of the only toddler rides in the joint still open that evening was the Dumbo ride. Mommy even got to ride it with me. I loved it!

Here we go, kids - HANG ON!

This was WAY more funner than the merry go round at the Coal Festival!

See me holding on for safety!

"Hey Mim - look at me go!"

Mad because I wanted to ride it a million more times and the park was closing!

Taking time out from my tantrum to count on my fingers.

Pappaw Farley has been working hard on teaching me to count to 5 on my fingers. I "counted" the whole time during vacation.

After the rides, we went out for ice cream. The best part was the Toddler Play Area in the back. I was too busy playing to eat (which was the case throughout the entire vacation)!

As promised, here is a picture of me see-sawing on a banana with a random girl - don't tell Lacey! I promise...she meant nothing to me, honey!

Then I became obsessed with the slides.

"Am I big enough to go down this one over here?"

Climbing UP the slide. All the cool kids do it this way.

That's right....I'm cool...just like Daddy.

Well...at this point it was 11 pm and time for bed. I went to sleep much easier tonight than last night. I still had to fall asleep ON mommy but ended up in my playpen the rest of the night. When we woke up, it was off to the COSI museum - its kinda like the Clay Center but bigger and better.

Its not a blog without the official Luke-face.

We went right to the Sahara exhibit. Guess what I'm sitting on?

You guessed it...a Camel! Don't I look like I belong in the Sahara Desert? What! Blonde hair...blue eyes...pale skin. A total Sahara package! I wouldn't get sunburned or nuthin!

After a MASSIVE poopie diaper, it was business as usual...pushing my car around the place.

On the top floor was a special play area for munchkins. I had the best time of all just hangin out in there!

Walkin' the plank!

Wonder what's over there?

Cool! A tunnel. Great fun for babies and daddies alike.

Well, whatdya know...a slicky slide!

Oh yeah baby, we're goin' again!

A random mommy was bragging about what good balance I have going up the slide the wrong way. Mommy told her that I was gifted.

I dig slides!

One exhibit had you pull your body weight. Daddy was surprisingly strong! Go Daddy Go! Mommy didn't even try it, she has ZERO upper body strength.

I stayed a few seconds on the music pad.

Then went to play with colorful spoke thingies.

Thanks COSI for a good day!

Beat. Done. Over and out.

I managed to sleep an hour and a half on the way back. I was MUCH better behaved on the way back than on the way there. Think Mommy can survive a beach trip now?

Luke-my-man,
I'm positive that your Mommy can survive the beach with you. Tell her that Mim says you're delightful. You both have to wear massive amounts of sunscreen. You are going to LOVE the ocean! Mommy will love the sandy diapers! Love you, egg-two, your Mim
