Watch Me Grow

Going Under The Knife

Ok - so do you think my hair is getting too long?

But I'm starting to get bangs, finally!

No dice. Mommy insisted on getting me a haircut. Mim says it makes me look slimmer and older. Can't beat that!

After breakfast this morning I helped Daddy vaccuum. I used to be deathly scared of the thing but now its one of my best friends.

Chicks dig a guy who's handy around the house. Daddy said that's why Mommy married him.

Gotta make sure to get behind the curtains - its where I play hide and seek!

"Let me do it. I have to do it!"

So...after a nap, we went over to meet one of Mim and Poppie's former foreign exchange students from FRANCE! While playing on the deck outside, I got a monster splinter right below my big toe! See it??!

It's as big as a Pepsi machine!!! :)

Luckily Poppie is the absolute expert at splinter removal. The surgery involved a super big needle and a gigantic pair of tweezers. It took 3 people (Daddy, Mommy and Mim) to hold me down to keep from squirming. I screamed but it was over very fast.

After my bubble bath Mommy found a second splinter. It was my Daddy to the rescue this time!

So after major surgery, Mommy let me have extra crunchies after my fruit cup tonite.

"Can we get a cat?" Mommy must not feel TOO guilty for letting me run around without shoes. I thought I had her folks! Maybe next time.

Like my new haircut? It really brings out my eyes!

I even got to have extra Yogi's (yogurt bites) before bed.

But crunchies are my absolute favorite. They are my Survivor Item.

...and they even turn your fingers orange. Just a bonus, really!

Mommy says I get this look from Daddy.

Brother came to check on me to make sure I was recovering from my surgery ok. He's been sick all weekend so I've not been able to be around him much.

A stiff drink before watching The Backyardigans and heading off to bed.

What a day! Stay tuned - I learned how to play croquet this week! You don't wanna miss it.

I'm still scared of the vacuum. I like to climb on it until Mommy or Daddy turn it on.

Luke-my-man,
You earn a medal for bravery during surgery. And, yes, I do feel terrible for letting my man run about barefoot, get a splinter, and step in doggy-doo. Sorry, Mister Luke. I'll have to think up an appropriate apology gift. Bribes always work. Still love you like MAD, your Mim
